Lat 45 CrossFit is a community of people in Salmon, Idaho who work out TOGETHER in an atmosphere of camaraderie, fun, and friendly competition. CrossFit training combines cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy into INTENSE , FUNCTIONAL, and CONSTANTLY VARIED workouts.
•Every workout is planned and coached by a certified CrossFit Trainer
•The workouts focus on functional movements, so they make you stronger and healthier for your everyday life outside of the gym.
•The workouts are short and intense, so you get a lot of fitness without wasting your time.
•The workouts are different every day, so you don't get bored.
•And the workouts are scalable, so no matter what your fitness level or age is, you can do this (elite athletes to grandmothers!!)
THE CROSSFIT EXPERIENCE
CrossFit workouts are an hour long. During that hour, we warm up and then review the movements we'll use in the Workout of the Day, aka, WOD. Reviewing the movements ensures we all use the correct form, and safely get the most out of our workouts.
After warming up and reviewing movements, we move on to the WOD, which is the heart of CrossFit. WODs are different every day, and can incorporate pull-ups, push-ups, box-jumps, olympic lifts, kettle bells, medicine balls, sprints, and more. Normally, they are timed, and you either do as many reps as possible (AMRAP) in a certain amount of time, or you try to do the reps in as little time as you can, depending on the workout. Almost all WOD's are less than 30 minutes long, and many are 15 minutes or less.
We offer small group classes led by trainers who will motivate you along with the other athletes to perform at your best. Each class is designed to challenge you physically and mentally. We strive to bring elite fitness to all individuals, regardless of their current fitness level. Beware, we are not a globo-gym! We have no ellipticals, no smoothie bar, no mirrors, and no excuses!!! Just an intense workout designed daily to suit each individual's needs. It's not easy. You will leave each session feeling exhilarated and exhausted at the same time.
